Achievements
IMM Executive MBA program ranked in the Financial Times
We are proud that the IMM program ranks as one of the best amongst all executive MBA programs worldwide for "international course experience" according to the Financial Times 2011 Executive MBA Rankings. You can read this ranking in the October 24th edition of the publication. This top ranking represents the 9th consecutive time we have achieved this honor. In addition, we are very proud about the other top rankings on our key three criteria (career progress, international student rank, and faculty with doctorates) where IMM achieved higher position than the best 10 schools' average.
These rankings qualify the IMM program to be amongst the Top 30 in the world overall (3 year average).
IMM Program announces a new curriculum
- A reduction
in the number of 2 weeks in residencies required for completion of the
degree, from 6 residencies to 5. This reduction enables IMM participants
to spend more time in their current professional responsibilities, as
well as time with their families.
- The number
of earned credits for the on-campus workload will be higher and credits
earned from the co-curriculum activity, which includes manufacturing
plant visits, guest lecturers, etc., will also be increased. This
change will amplify the importance of how specific theories and models
can be immediately applied in practice.
- A concerted
effort to explore complex business issues across all business disciplines
that will help contribute to a generalist orientation. This initiative
will enable students to examine a specific challenge within a specific
company within a specific region of the world. New courses such
as Corporate Social Responsibility, Cross-border Investment and Strategies
in Emerging Markets are some of the classes that reflect this approach.
- The core
curriculum activities, such as classroom lectures, seminars, etc. will
now be offered in two complimentary ways: a traditional on campus model
and a newly created online model.
- The implementation
of a new credit bearing "Learning Through Action" initiative.
Real case projects will be assigned to each team of students for critical
evaluation and proposed action and will entail close working relationships
with the sponsor companies and the IMM faculty.
