The international macroeconomic and financial environment during the last several years has provided exceptionally favorable conditions for cross-border investments. At the same time, accumulation of major imbalances among global regions has generated a variety of sources for risks that need to be taken into account by managers when making decisions in this environment. The course is a combination of international macroeconomics and business strategy, applied for emerging market business environment. The focus will be on identifying major risk factors resulting from the international macroeconomic environment (at present as well as in some recent historic episodes) and designing strategies on how to deal will these uncertainties.
